The handle is adjustable too – you can choose from seven different positions. This wasn’t something that I personally need, but I can see how it would benefit taller people – there’s nothing worse than having to constantly stoop over when strimming (or so I’m told!). For starters, it has an extendable shaft that can give the strimmer a height of up to 2.8m. Ultimately I have a 7 CU foot wheel barrow (2 now) and a 2 wheel dolly ($50 at Harbor Freight will live up to my minimal needs). The WORX GT 3.0 has been cleverly designed – it’s compact yet boasts several design features that make this tool really versatile. My biggest concern is that to do all the things it does the carry capacity is tiny. It looks to me like it does a bunch of jobs poorly, and coupled with the prices is kind of sad. ![]() But after looking at it for months I feel (with out using it) that it is more something I want to work, than something that lives up to my demands. I feel they are increasing their prices faster than their quality. That unit is ok, but it's not strong enough (or wide enough?) to suck up the massive maple and sycamore leaves I have to deal with. A corded leaf blower/vacuum with a high shred ratio for example. I have major brands for out door and for hand tools, I just have the Worx stuff for situations where they seemed the better choice. If I had a niche need (like the cordless power washer - hydroshot), I would certainly be looking at Worx. The batteries are quite common and interchangeable with a few other brands available here like Titan so I've ended up with about 8.įor me - for the price, in a light domestic environment, they are excellent but if you are (or plan to become) a heavy user, you may find yourself looking at more expensive alternatives eventually. The hand tools tend to come with lower rated 1.5ah batteries which are fine for the drill but the mower is 40v (two batteries) and came with 2.0ah batteries which are more effective. The line strimmer is decent but I'm not in love with it, the newer models look better. The corded 1/3 sheet sander is excellent but my new M18 RO is better (and three times the price). The percussion drill is decent but blown away by the Milwaukee M12 fuel I got recently (but double the price). I've had various WORX pieces for a few years now, they've been established in the UK/EU for some time.
